According to CEO of Robern Menz, Phil Sims, the inspiration for the egg was as sweet as the candy itself. “With Aussies able to celebrate Easter together socially distanced this year, we wanted to bring a smile to everyone’s faces with an Easter selection sure to satisfy their chocolate and honeycomb needs” (via the Daily Mail).
And, at least in the comments of the brand’s Instagram announcement of the egg, it seems that people are really ready for something sweet. One commenter wrote: “OMG think I have died and gone to heaven,” which was quickly followed by comments like “Dreams do come true,” “Get in my belly,” and “I think I may NEED this.”
If you think you may need this too (and you’re able to get your hands on it), make sure you have a sharing plan ready, or some serious space in your freezer set aside; six kilograms of candy is more than you probably think.
